Dragon Fruit

I picked up my first dragon fruit plant on a whim back in August 2020 from a local Home Depot. After years of failure to get fruits, I finally cross-pollinated my plant with pollen from another hobbyist. Cross-pollination is quite the ordeal because the flowers only open for one night (sometimes not opening until quite late!) and the pollen does not remain viable for long after harvesting. Finally in 2022 my efforts paid off and I was rewarded with my first fruits. I was hooked! I now am growing 5 different varieties and hope to hybridize my own species one day.
